Creative setup and multi-use... Nice.
How's the winch working out? I have it but dont have it mounted. They seem to have decent reviews but like some duece feedback....
crane got her cherry popped today lifting my spare to the bed so i could fabricate mounting it to the front bed wall (mounting a generator where she used to reside)....
very easy to manage single handed...... (well, i used two hands)......
likin this thing already :jumpin:
after spending weeks looking for a generator to fit above my spare tire, i came up with an idea to mount my spare, vertically, against the front wall of my deuce. (pic 1)
the bottom hole of the spare is only a inch above the front wall. i figure i'll weld a plate about 5" x 6"w with two holes...
finally got my hoist crane mounted/painted. overall, i'm pleased with the results but should've used some primer on the gloss red paint. the rustoleum OD isn't gonna stick too well.

curious...... what's the reason for the long large plate under the crane mounting plate? my bed angles up a bit towards the back end. if i move my crane...
got my crane delivered friday (2 days!). thought i'd share some pics. crane is not mounted yet since i'm waiting for some backing plates to be made up.
first off, the crane model is not the exact one shown in the pic on the website that i posted earlier. not sure if this is a newer (or cheaper...
i found this site that carries (manufactures?) the crane i bought a few posts back.....
Vestil Manf
maybe they'll have some other models that will give you "heavy weighter's" some ideas. then it's a matter of finding the best deal on the net.
noticed the place i bought my $199 delivered...
buddy of mine has that one and he says it sits just above the height of the side of the bed (he doesn't have troop seats) when collapsed. thinkin it might be a little too tall.
i'll see if he can shoot me a pic to post.
