Hello again. So I have used my trailer a couple of times (once to pick up a jeep tub) and I have since changed tow vehicles. My new one is much shorter than my monster suburban, so I need to lower it some how. I have been trying to sell my tires locally with no luck. Is there a way to convert...
So today was my appointment for the DMV. I told them I put it together from pieces and they allowed it. There was a SN on what was left of the data plate and that became my vin with the usmc as the mfg and first digits of my vin. So now my trailer has its plate and title and is legal to be on...
Not sure (still need to repaint the suburban & pick a color). Right now im just going to finnish painting the frame black and leave the tub as is. I did notice alot yesterday when towing it when I stopped the trailer would surge and bang against the truck as I stopped. Is there something to...
So over the weekend I rewired the trailer. I added the flat 4 harness and all of my leds. I still need to wire the amber side markers but the rest turned out well.
So last thursday I borrowed my cousin's truck and rented a u-haul trailer to go get the trailers. My girlfriend and I spent about 2.5hrs just getting one on there (had to take a tire off to get it to fit) and we were exhausted, so we left the other there (my cousin is going to pick his up). So...
How hard was this to do. Im going to register mine in a couple of weeks and I didn't go the sf97 route. What Info did you put in the boxes for where you got the parts. All I have is my gl invoice and then I will have my ebay invoices for the other parts.
Any updates on registering your trailer. I just picked mine up yesterday and I have a dmv appointment for the 6th of March. I dont think I have time to get a SF97 form.
So do you need a sf97 to register the trailer in CA. I have seen both and I have a dmv appointment for the 6th to register mine and I will be picking them up on the 14th.
So I headed up there today to pick my trailers up. Rented a flatbed trailer, filled the suburban up and hit the road bright and early. I got to the base and they scaned my id and off I went to building 146. They then told me that my stuff was in the yermo depot and I would probably need a day...
sounds cool. Im renting a uhall car trailer. One of the trailers doesnt have a lunete ring on it. Also figured just get them home and mess with them there at my own time. Do they put your stuff in together if you win multiple auctions. Mine were about 30 lots apart.
So I recived my paid in full notification today from gl. I purchased two trailers from the Barstow (Yermo) location (Address is the east C location). Im going to try and contact gl tomorrow to get more details, but in the meantime has anyone picked up from there? Any tips, advise, etc.
Thanks...
Ok I just got home and measured the hitch on my surburban. What is the height that the tongue should be on the m101a3. My hitch is about 23" to the center of the tube.
Ok thanks. I will keep you in mind. I was going to drop the one off at my cousins on the way home, but I guess I will bring them both home an access them and go from there.
On which one? I cant tell from the pictures. Hopefully they aren't but if they are I have two trailers to make one (I was going to give the other to my cousin minus the tires to offset the cost). I cant wait to get them and see what I have.
Thanks for the complements. Im going to leave the trailer as is. I picked the one because of the tires (has baja ta tires). I may down the road get tires and wheels to match (can get the 39's for cheap). How high should the tongue sit on the trailer. Also since im getting two im going to pick...
