Thanks. I knew that and it's stenciled on the inside of the passenger door in red letters.
I figured it's a pretty big deal but I thought it was don't back in low range with the front end locked in. I have a ball valve installed in the air supply to the front locker so it can't auto engage...
So this is my first 5 ton truck (M923A2) and have no other experience driving one. The one thing that doesn't seem right is when I shift into reverse it really wants to go. When I'm backing it into the spot I keep it I really have to be on the brakes and then when I shift it into neutral there's...
Supco SLP90120 low pressure switch. Closes at 120PSI and opens at 90psi. Almost an exact match to stock switching psi. Will need to be spliced in to existing military style connector.
Found an "opens on low" pressure switch at Grainger. Closes at 100psi and opens at 75psi and its max pressure is 600 so no problems there. The range is a little different than stock switch of 120psi close and 85 psi open but I think it's close enough. Grainger part number 4LWX9 and it's $16.
I don't think so. I thinnk the Spicer part you listed is a tire pressure monitor that tells the CTIS what the pressure is where this part is a switch that controls when the CTIS can operate.
After pulling the part and doing a little Googling here's the part number: Nsn: 5930 01 287 3965
Does anyone know how this sensor works? I know the CTIS reads it and will open the for business if it sees 120psi and then shut down if the tank pressure drops below 85. Is it the CTIS reading the...
I'm pretty sure the Spicer 513403 part is a transducer and not what I'm looking for here. I found it in the TM's but no part number is given. Anyone have the switch part number?
Found this yesterday when looking for air leaks on my 1990 M923A2. Hopefully this has something to do with my CTIS not working. I searched the TM's for an hour with no luck and figured maybe someone here can tell me what this sensor is for and where to find a new one. There's another fitting...
It's all coming together.
Do you think this would also affect the functionality of my CTIS? It won't make the highway pressure, just blinks and then goes to 5 blinking. Would be nice if that glad hand was causing all the problems.
When you go to drain the air tanks after driving how much volume should you get out of the wet tank? Yesterday I let the truck idle and build up pressure in the primary and secondary tanks (120 psi). I shut it down and got distracted and forgot to drain the tanks. Went back a couple hours later...
