    HMMWV Headlight Needed

It's been sleeping rough for a while, next to the used but still usable CUCV brake drums. It was inside a small recycle bin but I needed the bin for growing potatoes, so it's been there in the weeds for a few weeks. The wire insulation is cracking a bit, but it was that way when I removed it...

    HMMWV Headlight Needed

I think I have one. If it fits in a Med flat-rate box it should cost about $9 to ship it, large flat-rate will be a bit more. I'll take a look when I get home.

    Parcel Eligible

Wondering if anyone purchased something from GovPlanet that was listed as "parcel eligible" and how successful that was.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

This little project took far longer than it should have. Small spaces inside the can... The ammo can is mounted on vibration isolation feet. 4" cooling fan exhausts out the bottom, two lighter-plugs, and one USB charger plug all a timer. Top radio is a Radioddity QT60 that does 10 and 11...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I hauled a bale of hay in the back of mine, it came swirling up under the rear curtain and covered the rear seats. Looked like it was going to be a big vacuum cleaner job, but instead I took the doors off and got it up to 60mph and it all blew out. Question, is it cruel to choose your parking...

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

I looked at that, but they way they sewed it up tight to the rod means it will be tough to make it right afterwards. I can do it, but prefer not to. If someone wants it with the rod cut out I will do that. The curtain is in good shape, and will clean up nice I think.

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

OK, the bad news is USPS shipping is $110 + $18 for the accordion box = $129 to your door. Weird shape I guess. I used that same kind of box to ship three rifles from CT to WA and I don't remember it costing that much. Let me know if you still want it.

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

Sorry for the delay! Been a hectic couple weeks here. I picked up the box today and tomorrow I'll stuff the curtain inside it. Then either tomorrow or the next day.

    It's alive!!!

If you have welding available, that's probably the best option. Otherwise you might try drilling it with a left-hand drill bit, OR drill it from the inside with a regular drill bit. Start with a small-ish bit and work your way up until it comes out or gets too close to the threads. Then tack...

    New M1165 Jigsaw Puzzle

Last pic; the three capped wires on the center windshield I believe are for the optional windshield heat system. Those are routed around and terminate behind the battery box (same wire numbers). You can use those for powering items at the center windshield to prevent your needing to route...

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

I hosed the loose stuff off and it looks pretty good, will look really good with a little scrubbing. It's draped over the canoe drying now. You can have it for whatever it ends up costing to ship. That's the prickly part though; it cannot fold due to the rod at the bottom that's sealed in its...

Yes, and it's still gross as I haven't hosed it off yet.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

In the aircraft world it's called seat track.

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

It's pretty gross at the moment, needs to have the spider eggs and grime sprayed off. All four hooks are there, seat belt pockets, straps and d-rings for roll-up all look good. The window is probably 70%. If you want it let me know. $40 should cover the box and shipping, but if it's more...

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

I have one in pretty good condition, at least as good as the one pictured above. If there's still interest I'll take a look at it tonight to assess the actual condition.

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Continuation of the previous. Here's the video of the entire parade. The M1165 appears at around the 11:00 minute mark, then I make the second pass around the 59:40 More milsurp around the 1:31:00 time.

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Armed Forces Day is a thing. Bremerton WA has one of the longest running celebrations for Armed Forces Day, this year being the 77th. I was scheduled to drive the M1165 and placed in the middle of the pack of 150 participants. Last night the event organizer called me and asked if I would mind...

    New HMMWV owner here

If it's a Yermo truck you always have the option of shipping it the short distance to Retired War Horses and letting Steven do the heavy lifting. I'd be OK driving a runner or non-runner home after RWH gives it the once-over and says it's good.

    Hard vs soft......doors

I want a set of hard doors for the winter, but once it's warm I really like the soft doors instead. Going from doors on to doors off takes a minute or less, add maybe one more minute to roll up the rear curtain and you're riding in style. Let's see a Wrangler owner do it less than 20 minutes.....

Best place to tap 24 volt in engine bay

If you use a 24v relay, you need only run one small wire into the cab; the ground wire for the relay.
