Ok well this site has already enlightened me. It turns out my deuce is a 1969 and is number 214 of batch/run 04 (pretty early) and it started out life as a non winch m35a2.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am actually out in the toolies west of sturgeon lake. I got the pipeline duece from the guy in new richmond Wisconsin he was really straight forward and easy to deal with. He has 4 more deuces and a couple 5 tons as well.
