Have any of you that have (or tinkered with) the LSSV's done any spring mod's to increase the payload capacity? We are looking at snagging a 2004 regular cab LSSV and would like to see about adding a spring or two to beef up the rear suspension a little to increase its payload. This would be...
We have a 915A4 and it'll do every bit of 80. We have a 916A2 and that big old thing will barely do 55-58. Anyone have a site to get gears for the 916 so we could look at a swap? We'd like to get it up to 65-70 if possible.
Had a chance yet? I just picked up a 1998 model m1078 and we would really like to squeeze highway speed out of it. It's not even worth turning the lights and siren on at 55-58mph.

I know...

We currently run a 923 for a heavy brush truck at our FD. It's a 1983 model being an A0, it's got the NHC-250 and its gutless. We've even had all 6 injectors replaced and it barely helped a bit. We've also had issues with the G177 tires not holding up very well.
Im just wondering if it'd be...
