I'm not sure. I was waiting until I had parts to take it apart. Thanks for the help, I did not see that post when I did a search. I will order some seals.

That happened to me 20 years ago after I changed my first flat tire on a long road trip, when I was about 18 years old. A few weeks later I was getting a knocking noise and a wobble in turns. I managed to fix it before the wheel fell off. I learned to check lug nut torque again after driving...
Picked up a F250 rim and it fits. The whole in the center is slightly larger than the military rim, but it should work as a spare.
Thanks for the help.
I just looked at the tire size, and its an R16. So I guess it is a 16' rim. I should be able to find that wheel. I was having a hard time looking for a 17 inch wheel.
I need a spare tire for my M101A2. It as the 8 bolt 17 inch wheel. I just want to find a civilian wheel that will fit. Any recommendation for a year, make and model truck that will fit, so I can find one at a junk yard.
Thanks
I would like to make some improvements to my M101, while maintaining it's GI appearance. I would like to install universal tie down anchors, Jerry can holders, and pioneer tool rack.
I would like to see pictures of what other M101 owners have done.
Thanks
Let me know how it works. I would like to paint my trailer this year.
The wet blasting should reduce any toxic dust from the paint.
I took the paint off my pintle hitch, by soaking it in used break fluid, and pressure washing. The paint was not CARC.
I was going to try a wet sand blasting kit ( Karcher Part No. 2.638-792.0) for my pressure washer, when I am ready to paint my trailer. I don't know how well it works, but it looks a lot cheaper than paying someone to strip the paint, and you keep the tools.
Mike,
To use it as a dump trailer, do you have to add a hydraulic ram? It looks like you could lock the parking breaks, remove the 2 bolts, and back up the truck to dump.
How is it done?
Thanks,
Steve
Mike,
I was thinking of getting both, but that would cost more than I would like to spend for the trailer. I think I can fix most of the body damage. I may have to buy break parts from you.
Thanks,
Steve
I found a M101a2 that I want to buy. But I may need to fix the surge breaks. Are parts available? Is there a civilan truck that uses the same break parts? Is there a good internet parts source? Are rebuild kits available for the surge break?
Thanks,
Steve
