4 new batteries and I even was thinking that so I had my M925 jumping it too to add extra power, no change!!
to cold out there today to mess with it more.
I have the same problem with my 97 M1088, when I first got it it would do the starter on off every soften. now that's all it does aua tried jumping the relays and did the same thing.
out of 100 times I tried to start it got it going 1 time, left it run for 1 hour shut it off and tried to start...
my M295 doesn't like the cold at all so 40 or below I have to use the either button and it still takes a bit of cranking some times.
so if its cold there have you tried the either to see if that helps it out??
just guessing but if its automatic check the flywheel and torque converter to see if a weight fell off that helps balance it. if a flat little peace of metal falls out when you take bottom cover off that's it.
happened to me on my gas Chevy truck before.
Pa 1 hr north of phily. sounds like a long fun ride, better than driving a M900 series.
always good to have some oil for the peace of mind and just in case!! CAT motors are good on oil but you never know.
some pics would be cool as you go.
I just replaced the pump seal, pump works fine but fluid isn't returning.
i have to crack the return side of what ever piston Iam running for it to move or it won't move because of no returning fluid. I even switch the pump and return lines on pump thinking it mite pump out the clog if there was...
so the big question is how much?? and it is the turn signal switch on steering column that does every thing, just to make sure. i'll take a picture tomorrow when i get to work.
last thing i need to get it on the road, other than figure out why the air/hyd. isnt working rite.
so my 1997 M1088 wipers work when I bush the washer pump part in, but cant get the switch to twist to turn them on full time.
I'am guessing it is a twist since all the pics. are worn off the leaver.
just to make it clear since I don't have a picture its the turn signal, high & low beam, horn...
it is a Cat engine so any cat shops mite be helpful, but check to see if your fuel shut off on top of injection area is turning fuel on and off.
if same as 3116 should have a 6" cable running to electric switch on drivers side top of engine.
have to look at my engine again to make sure but a start!!
still waiting on my PA title for my M1088, my first title they gave me 3 weeks ago said it was made buy Stanley Steam. Really!!!!! guess they couldn't read the Florida title ironplanet gave me.
around $880. for my reg. but is at 44,000 GVW and cdl to boot!! find out after PennDot gets there head...
going out on a limb, but my m1088 looks like it has rubber blocks on springs that you could remove to lower back end 6" and sway bar has same length spacers on them too.
not sure about front end springs but for just hauling around a shop you could use hyd. lowering to load on plains to even it...
some times the brake drum will get out of round.
jack up the front end and spin the tire buy hand and see if it has a hard spot in the same place every time you spin it.
or one front brake could be worn more than the other side.
just things I have found with the tri axles I drive.
I am in Pa and have my cdl for yrs BUT I was dumb and only got my class B :rules: so with a B you cant drive with a trailer NO MORE than 10K LBS, this includes your own car or truck!!!!
with out a cdl you can only drive 26,000 GVW and don't forget about airbrakes.
so go for the class A so you...
Yes these are winch trucks, the winch is on the passenger side frame in front of the back tire. Nothing like the m925 winch
runs along frame and pops out the front bumper, so you don't see it unless your looking for it.
I have no clue what AAA is other than a towing company that helps people that are broke down!!!!
my driver was going to tow the truck himself (like I have my self 2 times, once in Ohio base and in Delaware)
as far as I know they were Govplanet people that WOULDNT let my driver in the area the...
GP charged me $125 to use a wrecker to pull my new M1088 that didn't run out of there fenced in area (not on base) in Fayetteville NC because my driver wasn't aloud in the area they had the trucks in.
broke one of the brake chambers to boot because they don't know what there doing I guess. my...
