    T.M.'s for Front axle?

Hmmm, I will be having to check that out this weekend when I get a chance to look at it. I am pretty sure it is coming from the Passenger side, so I was gonna take the wheel off and get a look at everything anyway.

    T.M.'s for Front axle?

it does work when engaged, it didn't start making the noise until after I had been out mudding it for a while. then something started grinding whenever I was actually having to dig with the front end, it was barely noticable when just driving around with the front end engaged on flat easy surfaces

    T.M.'s for Front axle?

Anyone have a T.M. or link to one or a blowup for the front axle for a 1971 Duece? I looked through the Tm section but couldn't find one. Had some wierd grinding when I engaged the Front end tonight.. T.I.A. Rodney

LArgest/Best size tires for non bobbed deuce?

thats the same problem I have. I found some rims that are N.O.S. but they want 400= per rim and thats with no tire. I cant swing that price. I could get an a3 from gl that is trashed out and stripped down for a little more than that and take the tires and rims off it

    m35a2 starting problem

Just a note to Gimpyrobb, and everone else. Great job helping this guy out. Everyone in this thread made quick work of the issue, and noone came in screaming about reading the TM's before asking a question that has already been answered before. noone was griping about FNG's wasting thread space...

LArgest/Best size tires for non bobbed deuce?

I was looking into the 395's The only real problem I have with that set up is that I looked around and buying the adapter plates for all six tires and a spare is really expensive. I am a welder by trade an a decent wrench hand, si I considered cutting and welding to adapt the rim centers I have...

LArgest/Best size tires for non bobbed deuce?

I want to single out the deuce I'd like to keep it with the stock six lgs, what is the best size of tire and rims I should be looking for on GL? I do not want to bob the truck, I love the duel rear axles. Just want to single up and make it a true 6x6. If anyone has some of these for sale I...

    Deuce questions

you know that rebuilding the wheel cylinders is fairly easy and super cheap. I got the rebuild kits for $5.75 eaach from eriksmilitarysurplus.com.Couple of rubber boots some springs and Viola. I think that new wheel cylinders for the Duece were only 28 bucks from the same place. But rebuilding...

    Lifted Deuce NO NO!

again you are talking about trucks that are engineered to be used with lift blocks, not ones that are altered. As for it "not taking a lot of test data" I believe that you are dead wrong on that Sir, I guarantee you that they are tested and engineered to rediculous lengths, so that they can...

    Lifted Deuce NO NO!

You are talking apples and oranges here dude, when they build them that way from the factory, they are ENGINEERED to be that way. They are not using 30 or 40 year old engineered specifications and changing them. This is the difference, between altering something and engineering it. I have seen...

    Lifted Deuce NO NO!

I zoomed in on that picture and cleaned up the pixelation. Those "lift Blocks" are not lift blocks at all, they are two pieces of "C" or "U" channel welded together Or at least I assume they are welded together. I HOPE they are welded together. Cant really tell on those u blots but, there is a...

    airpack/brake question.

I am under the truck getting ready to bleed the brakes, finally got the rear wheel cylinder replaced. I have gotten all the brake TM's. I am either blind or there is not a right hand airpack for the brakes on my duece. all the TM's are showing 2 airpacks. a Right and left, but I am only finding...

Nobody wants to insure my deuce!

If anyone is interested, I took the title for my 1971 m35a2 to my insurance company, Guide One. The girl typed the VIN into her computer and it popped out Surplus Military Vehicle? with a yes or no option. She hits yes and the insurance quote was 123.00 for 6 months basic coverage. No...

    Are all Deuces Multifuel?

I also ran my cummins 6bt Dodge ram on gasoline when my son accidentally put gas in and was afraid to tell me. It stalled a lot and was a bitch to start but it did run. I figured out why it was running like crap when I bled the injectors. Oddly it would start up normally when the engine was...
