I'm looking at bidding on some seats in Lockbourne. They are kinda heavy and am wondering if anyone would be able to pick them up, remove the mounting bases and drop them off at a Fastenall for shipping to me?
PM me if you could help with this,
Thanks in Advance
I went to a hydraulic surplus supply house, bought a small gear pump. Then went to Northern tool and bought an electric motor and love joy coupler.
Made a single mounting plate and have been running it for years moving waste engine, transmission, Hydraulic and gear oils. I put a strainer on the...
Is the pump pushing air from the bleed screw? If so, you have issues between the electric fuel pump and the fuel in the tank.
I had an over the road truck drive me crazy until I associated the fuel problems with the tank being below 1/2 full. Pulled the fuel pick up tube and found a hole in it...
He did not replace the lift pump...
Thats why I'm thinking fuel. It tries real hard to start but just won't quite do it. I had already replaced the IP when we first got it.
Well, I worry no more, He just called and said he has sold it...
****, I liked that truck but, it was his to do with as he...
So, the son unit took the CUCV mudding and it came back not running.......
He said it wouldn't start and they had put a new starter on it... Now I'm kinda mad as that was a new direct drive starter and he put a gear reduction unit on it.
He put new batteries (it is converted to 12VDC) and we get...
Air bag rear suspension WITH an air ride cab, makes for interesting driving until you get used to it!!!
American LaFrance used to do that on their fire trucks and the things felt like they were going to roll over every-time you took a curve with any kind of speed at all!
You need a very well...
Check the high idle solenoid on the drivers side of the IP. If it is not adjusted correctly, it will kick in when you hit the accelerator and hold the IP at a very high idle.
For a cheap check, just unplug it and see if it starts at a normal idle speed. If so, just back the plunger off to set a...
When Casey and I lifted, installed crossover steering and a high steer drag link, there wasn't space for the sway bar so we took it completely off. I've noticed a little more body roll when taking faster corners but otherwise don't miss it.
The Picture in post #21. Do you happen to know who has that trailer as I am interested to see how he shortened the sides of the canvas and put in the holes to retain it to the trailer...
Stop by the autoparts store and get a tail shaft plug. We use them all the time when swapping transmissions. Pull the slip yoke out and it goes in it's place. They are multi fit so just press in until contact with the seal is made.
Adding about 2 gal of cheap ATF to my fuel tank makes mine run a lot smoother and seams to have more power.
Using ATF to fill fuel filters so something I was taught long ago. The ATF increases the lubricity of the fuel and it has a high detergent content that helps clean the injectors.
Anyway...
By removing the OEM fan and replacing it with electric you will pick up about 12 to 15 Hp. Even the viscus fan clutches put a drag on the engine when they are at "idle" and even more load when they engage. By using a thermostatic switch to control the fan relay you make the system function like...
Anyone from the Houston (and I use that loosely) area win lots from Ft Polk that will be picking up this week?
I won a pair of 37-12.50 16.5 tires and hate to make the drive just to pick them up.
So, If someone is headed that way and could bring them back with them OR if I can pick up something...
We got new wheels in, got tires swapped from the HUMMVEE wheels to the new ones and balanced.
The cross over steering and high steer is installed. Test drove several times....
Now it was time to PLAY!!!
This has been a great project for the son and I to work on and for me to spend more time...
