    Air tanks lined?

When we clean diesel fuel tanks we often find "PEANUT BRITTLE" like deposits. They will burn and turn to a white ash.

Hurricane Ian projected to reach cat 4 - FL panhandle landfall

I have lived in Florida since early 81' and have learned to not listen to the news media. I pack my own parachute and I jump when I am ready. Your friend in Cape Coral may have learned a lesson.

    Algae in the fuel tank

A very common issue with diesel fuel in a poly fuel tank. The returned fuel can be near the operating temp of the engine and then when fuel level gets low the heated returned fuel heats the ullage area of the tank. Causes major condensation / water, which is the enemy of diesel fuel. Poly...

    HHMWV Fuel tank leak

When we need more access to a diesel fuel tank for cleaning, we use a 4" hole saw and install a 6" access plate made by Seabuilt. We have installed them on both water and diesel fuel tanks. You notice I didn't saw gasoline......

Some questions on using Gillespie Paint on non-military vehicle

I rolled a flat Behr on my deuce then I sprayed semi gloss paint I got from Rapco on my M38. The next time I paint (which will be really soon) I will spray paint from Rapco. I don't recall a noticeable difference in produce price, only the shipping cost.

How long can you store Diesel?

Water is the biggest demon for diesel fuel. Water is the food source for the nasty growth we find in our tanks. One half ounce of water will pull the ethanol out of a gallon of E10 and place the fuel in Phase Separation. And air is the biggest demon for gasoline. The light ingredients start to...

    Fluids, Flushes and Additives

I strongly recommend that after the application of any treatment one needs to drop the oil pan. Those treatments will break down deposits but now remove them. For my transmissions and gear cases I use a solution of diesel fuel and transmission fluid. This is pulsated with the aid of a diaphragm...
