Looks great! Do you have the Sherwin Williams color code for the green color? Im planning to do the same this weekend and would like to use SW products! Also, black is black right? Just standard flat black would work?
Morning everyone! I can't seem to find the topic, so I apologize if I'm discussing something that's already posted somewhere...
I just ordered a replacement steering wheel, it seems like a simple swap out. A few screws... Anyone confirm easy or hidden potentials?
Thanks!
James,
Thanks for answering my question and not attacking me for asking. After going through (and being denied) by every possible mechanic in the area, I was able to do it myself with your guide. I spent MAYBE $100 on the diaphragms and saved who knows how much IF one of the mechanics would...
Your my hero! I tried this yesterday to find that the diaphrams I ordered where the wrong size... I know, but this is all new to me and NO ONE in DadeCounty is willing to look at it. So, I have to figure it out... Your pics make it much easier. Anyhow.. Are all the diaphragms #12? I got her...
Anyone have any experience with the treadle valve? As I understand it, this valve is the primary point from the air tanks to the brakes. Bare with me... If its the problem and I disconnect the line on the output side, I should be able to hear air coming out even if the brakes are not applied...
Sorry, It's a 89 M923.. That's what baffles me. When the parking brake is off and the brakes are not applied is when it leaks (sometimes)... As for springs, I have heard the horror stories, so I appreciate the heads up. The only thing I did was pull that rubber tab off to verify the interior...
Ok, if the parking brake is on, pressure builds and maintains at 120 psi. When the parking brake is released and the truck is placed in neutral, all four rear brakes sometime leak. This happens when the parking brake is released and the brakes are not pressed. It doesn't happen all the time...
I have had my truck for a little less than a year and all is in tip top order. Paint is in decent condition, except for a white line at the corners of the truck. Its like a ghostly film that has appeared only in the corners. I have used normal soap and a pressure washer and it is still there...
TM says we should max out at 55MPH, but my M923 will hit about 67 (GPS). RPMs all stay within range; other than killing fuel, what harm is this doing (or not doing)?
Agreed... It would be nice to just pull in and not have to mess with the cover. Since its not "made for the truck" it doesn't go on so easily. I am trying to post a picture of what it looks like, but for some reason I cannot upload.
I have an M923 and would love to store indoors, however, that is an expensive option in south florida. At the moment I use an inexpensive RV cover which does an "OK" job. Any recommendations?
Parking shouldn't be too bad. As crazy as the mall may get, that specific corner tends to be the last to fill up. Im dragging my GF with me, let me know if you decide to join, we'll coordinate!
