Keeps moisture out of system? Makes no noise if CTIS is unplugged. If CTIS is plugged in, it spits a burst of air every 2 seconds once pressure is reached (normally 120 on both gauges). Highway light flashes as if all is normal.
I have read the TM concerning the operation. The Highway light flashes all the time indicating "correct" operation according to the TM but the dryer continues to cycle repeatedly. Also, I don't really see or hear any difference in tire pressure regardless of which button is pushed or how long...
925a2 - dryer under dash cycles constantly once pressure is reached (120-125). No pressure loss really even at idle. Only cycles like this when CTIS ECU is plugged in. Unplug the CTIS ECU and no more dryer cycling. When plugged in cycles about every 2 seconds, stops every so often for about...
I am researching online now. Initial searches are showing IP prices from $110 to $1300. I guess that finding the right one may be a little difficult. Gauges look to be easy to get.
Thanks.
You couldn't humor me for a while with an easy fix? I agree, pressure gauge is a must. Any advice on type and where to "cut in" on the system? My H1 had this problem when I got it. It was the PMD (pump mounted driver) which is a common problem on the H1 turbos.
Thanks
1991 M925A2 Turbo Cummins starts fine cold, runs fine, won't restart hot. If I let it sit for a while it starts again and runs fine. Transfer pump seems to work fine. When I open the drain on the fuel filter and crank the engine fuel comes out. Solenoid engages on crank. This obviously...
Triple AAA covers stuff that big? That's good to know. I wonder if the roadside assistance on AMEX covers large vehicles. Still hate getting towed.
I see you have a Bricklin. My friend has one, green.
Yes, sometimes simple is better. The CTIS system has many advantages that make it worth having and maintaining. Besides the ability to "air-down" or back up on demand as necessary for traction conditions, the system provides the ability to keep rolling with a big tire leak. Who wants to call...
Gentlemen, my 91 M925 CTIS seems to be cycling but not actually filling tires. Upon starting the truck, the system builds up pressure on both gauges but once it reaches operating pressure the system seems to keep recycling. A relief valve or something under the dash seems to bleed off a quick...
