Tire age and cracks - Still safe or replace?

I bought two new (fresh and expensive) Goodyear G177 11R-20 tires for the front of my M925. The existing tires have zero cracking in the sidewalls, but were made in 2003. I don't want to be the first to the scene of a crash.

M939 Front Drive Axle Confusion (sorta)

I have seen numerous posts about the two styles of front drive axles which are the Universal joint and ball/cv types. Posts state that the CV was replaced with the u-joint type. Here is a copy & paste from manual 9-2320-272-23-3, manual page 0411-4, pdf page 596: "New configuration axle shafts...

Soft Top Ripped Loose While Driving.

Well, I glued the plastic pieces back on and riveted them every two inches. I used .040" x 1" stainless on the outside to rivet through. Just got it slid back through the front channel and flopped over the top. I will finish it tomorrow. It isn't that difficult reinstalling these by myself.

NHC250 AFC Pump Tachometer Drive Oil Leak

I have an oil leak on my M925 with the NHC250 engine. Oil is coming up and leaking out of the tach pulse sender. I see in the 24P-1 parts book that the shaft drive seal is P/N 212603. My question is can this be changed without pulling the pump off. I am concerned about the drive gear falling out...

Soft Top Ripped Loose While Driving.

I'm going to rivet it back together. Probably use a strip of stainless on the outside. I'm used to draining oil from equipment. I was poorly positioned to hold the 5 gal pail in the right position. The worst spill I had was draining a hydraulic tank on my dozer. The 1" pipe plug blew out from...

Soft Top Ripped Loose While Driving.

I was driving my M925 truck this afternoon to warm up the engine to change the oil. That is when 'POOF", the soft top front came loose. I held down the center bow while slowing down. There was about a 3-4" air scoop sending cold air inside the cab. I put on a glove and headed back to the shop...

    OH No Luck in Ohio

I finally got insurance through State Farm. Classic vehicle liability only is $24.40 for six months.

    OH No Luck in Ohio

I talked to Hagerty and wouldn't insure me since I store the M925 outside. I called Progressive Commercial and said they don't insure military vehicles. I already have two trucks insured with them for my business. I am going to see if my neighbor can store my truck in his barn until I can...

    M923a2 weak point.

I've used Dyno Nobel Unigel, Unimax and cast boosters. Stumps are a pain since you never know how the roots are situated, even with the same species. On several occasions the dirt is blown out from under the stump. The secret to stumps is using a lower detonation velocity powder. Cast boosters...
