i recently installed solex carb. on 1952 m38a1 motor ( recently rebuilt 250 miles) and it runs worst than the carter carb. that i pulled off, did i make a mistake? it pops and backfires when i accelerate, idles very rough can't adjust air/fuel. everything is in time , complete new motor, plugs...
is it possible to install rebuilt motor in 1952 m38a1 without removing transmission and transfer ? I do not want to remove tranny and want to know if it is ok . suggestions ?
where is a good place to get machine shop work done to 134 f m38a1 motor, i talking about head and valve work. Possibly complete motor overhaul in Dallas, Texas area. I am having trouble locating someone who will do head repairs. Thanks for your help.
