No radiator in it. And the trans cooler lines are capped. AND, still trying to find my instrument cluster circuit board as that is needed for the charging system. So long to keeping it simple.
Following. My ECM apparently just gave out randomly. I've been starting every few weeks for a minute just to keep things fresh. Go out one day and nothing. TIM wont recognize the ECM. It will recognize all of the other modules. Tested the 70 pin connector and i have power at pins 52 and 53...
It eventually needs to make it to Ohio but Im just not finding the time during the week to get down there. Is there someone near by that can grab it or someone heading this way?
I did talk to the yard shortly after and they said those trucks came from a big farm operation. So some more might show up. Im interested in any of the 915/916 with the detroits or related parts.....if you happen to see anything.
If all of the glow plugs were out and the motor still wouldn't turn then it wasn't hydro locked. Did it have oil pressure? These trucks when the sit for years have a hard time picking up oil again.
Brakes are hydraulic, air assisted. So no need to air up the truck although the you would need to apply much more pedal pressure to obtain the same braking with the assist working. Typically the brake fluid leaks off on these trucks while sitting so there is a chance that it doesnt have any...
It's a "fuel" tank, not gas. And i hope your lines are filled with diesel and not gas.
Did you verify that the injector pump is returning fuel out of the return fitting on top of the pump?
