somewhere else. The GL I have gotten stuff from is somewhat unsupervised but weighs everything coming in and going out and if you are over they inspect what you are taking. I guess they dont all do that.
With alot of these 90's trucks coming off GL someone must have some info. My deuce was easy, antique tags and ins. I am looking at a 93 and state farm and DMV is telling me I have to go with commercial for everything. True?
sounds expensive but I am getting a quote.
speaking of tow bars, not sure how much stuff will be at the "part swap" but I am looking for one. If someone is bringing one to sell PM me.
We will be up on Saturday, my deuce is still down so I will be coming up in a 1009 CUCV. Looking forward to it!
I am sorry I did not mean to confuse anyone. I was making a quick post as I was walking out the door, ill edit it. My truck is not running.
All I want to know is has anyone checked their fuel pressure on a running multi-fuel at the secondary filters.
I was told the pump on the side of the IP...
I was told on the phone while troubleshooting my deuce I should have 20 PSI at the secondary filters while cranking the engine, I have the gauge hooked up to where the bleeder is. (see pic) I was told if I dont have around 20 my booster pump may be bad.
Has anyone replaced the fuel pump on...
$150
KAR Transport did it.
There was a slight discrepancy, the phone guy told me $125 and the driver charged me $150 but whatever, I was grateful to have the deuce home. I would still use them again but would make him repeat the price 3 times. The basically charge by the hour(including drive...
I had to pay the big one unfortunately. I will find a tow bar, just a couple of tows will pay for one. These guys were cool, they said they have moved several dozen dueces and 5 tons for other people buying them from GL. I thought they would bring one of those big rig tow trucks but to my...
Hey guys, not sure if you saw my post,
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/56254-broken-deuce-virginia-beach.html
My truck is hosed. I am still coming no mater what, Ive still got my ol F250. I think my IP is bad, if anyone has one for a good price please let me know, as it stands right now I...
I got the deuce home. I cracked all the lines and took the #5 line completely off and not a drop of fuel. based on everything checked I think the IP might have died. Unless there is anything else to check?
transfer pump is working
fuel at all 3 filters
fuel pressure at the IP
fuel shut off lever...
I am going back out this morning to drain the filters and crank on it some more. I am not sure about the water, I didnt see any except at the very bottom on my tank when I drained it to put in fresh fuel. About midnight I went to wallys and bought some fuel dry and added 2 bottles and let the...
Ran ok, shut the engine, loaded up some stuff and it wont restart. Checked all the fuel, have fuel flow at all the filters with the electric pump running and at the IP itself. Checked the cable, took the cover off the plunger and the rod is forward but I got nothing. Might need an IP? not sure...
I appreciate the concern guys, I dont take my truck muddin, I have had my truck for over a year and I am taking it off road for the first time at the VA Graves Rally next month. It is more likely i will just end up using it to do chores. If I ever did have to use it for self recovery I would be...
That is it! It looks like it will work in a pinch. If I am not mistaken a snach block doubles the pulling power so that is a 20k lb pull doubled up. Fabbing up brackets will be the easy part. the hydraulics is a new beast to me. I was thinking a 5-ton power steering pump and brackets would be a...
Someone I know has a spare hydraulic winch that we think was for a hummer, still in crate from GL, I dont have the #s in front of me, but is it worth my time to mount this to the deuce with a 5ton PS pump? If I always used a snatch block it would be 10K since I thing the hummer units are 5k.
