I'm trying to figure out what makes an "isolated" ground. The guys at the alternator/starter repair shop didn't put one in my passenger side alt that I had repaire/replaced. Now I can't hook up the "positive" 24v ground to it without it arcing out.
Guess I'sm not the brightest bulb in the box. When I got my M1008 the red wire with 24 volts was taped up and disconnected from everything along with the little wire with the "20 fuse" link. I checked voltage, disconnected batteries, the reconnected the 12V red wire to the ground terminal on...
The Gen 2 light in my 1008 is out and has been since I got it. The Gen 1 light works so I swapped bulbs and no nothing on the Gen 2 with Gen 1 light working with other (Gen 2) bulb. They go on a plastic mylar printed circut (no wires). Do these "circut boards" go bad or what? I also have trouble...
