3rd gear gets up to 39-40 at 2000-2100 rpm

That was the very first thing I did a week ago when I started trouble shooting. It looked and smelled normal. Level was a little on the low end, but still within normal range.

I adjusted the cable this weekend. It changed the shift points of gears 1, 2 and 3. Still will not shift into 4th.

I've had it for 2 years. I've tried more throttle too, as much as it will take. I'm thinking that possibly the linkage needs to be adjusted to lower the shift points?

I made a custom hitch. Now sure of it's capacity, but I only use it for a 8,000lb boat and no issues.

I've got a 1991 M931A2 that now will not shift past 3rd gear. I've tried to manually shift it, accelerating slow, letting off pedal, it just won't release into 4th. It shifts just fine 1, 2 and 3. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

dmetalmiki, I'm pretty new here. Not familiar with how to post a pic in the thread, but you can look on my profile and see pics of my truck as it sits. Lots of custom work done already. Suprman, I will definitely look into that.

I was thinking more along the lines of a show truck, so yes a "suburban" type vehicle. I think the back seats would have to sit higher than the front due to wheel clearance.

Considering undertaking a 6 door project for my already customized 931A2. Anybody seen one? Heard of one? Thoughts?

I've also got a 12v alternator installed. It's a Mechman 320amp that powers a battery that's mounted in the bed of the truck. The battery powers the stereo and all of my light bars.

I've restored mine and done a ton of custom fabrication to it. I've taken it to some local truck shows here in Las Vegas and won some trophies. I have more custom things being done to it all the time and I really enjoy it. Wish the ride was nicer and it had a/c, but those are all future projects.

I've got 1200 watts of led light coming off the front. I'm working with a company right now to have have 72-74" bars made for 5 tons.

I moved up to the 53's. Everyone told me they would clear the bottom of bed....took it out in the desert down a steep ravine....bent the heck out of the underneath support brackets of the bed, broke off the light bars I had installed underneath. Ended up having to raise the bed 6" to...

That looks good. I went a little crazy myself with the light bars. I'm working with a company right now to make a solid piece 72" light bar.

It's more work, but I installed a separate 12v alternator in line with the stock alternator that charges a separate battery. I can run all sorts of things now with the 12v.

Thanks Mtnsnow, I've printed those pages. Superman, I've toggled through every setting. I have a 1991 M931A2.

Toggles move and click as they should, but exterior running lights and headlights do not turn on. Interior lights turn on as before.
