I'm thinking of putting a manual transmission in my M1008. I've found a donor civilian 6.2L with the manual. I won't ask if it's possible because I know anything is possible with enough work and money. I haven't been able to find any posts on this, so I assume it's not an easy swap. Has anyone...
Mine's bent also. It also has dents in it that seem to match the fork truck dents in the side of the truck. I picked mine up from Ft Meade the same day as Randy . I heard someone else from MD mention something about bent drive shaft. Hmmm
OK. I read several threads on this subject and think I'm ready to start mixing my own alternative fuel cocktail. I have an inexpensive source of clean used Conoco Hydro Clear 46 hydraulic oil.

For my CUCV: 25% used hydraulic oil and 75% Kerosene.
For my Duece: 75%...
I have a good set of 6TMF's. Mfg 09/07. Came out of the M1009 I just picked up. They must have put them in for the TI. I don't need them. I'm looking to pick up a M1008 from Ft Meade tomorrow. Will deliver the pair for $100 cash.
