I’m pretty sure if I remember correctly back that far that the main issue was the in tank lift pump was clogged with debris. All of the fuel filters needed changed even though I do remeber that they were not that old, but I’m sure it’s definitely due to sediment that was still left in the fuel...
Yes they are mounted on XM-105-E3 trailers. I actually am glad I bought them. They both run very smooth and produce plenty of power. I appreciate the info. It's a start.
I have recently acquired (2) of these generators. They are powered by Detroit 2-71 engines with a 20kw KATO power unit behind them. I'm having a hard time finding any information on them as far as general service information, wiring diagrams, and any TMs. Any help pointing in the right direction...
New owner of LSSV
I can finally say I'm the proud owner of an 05 LSSV. I purchased it from James (M1075) and I like to say it was a pleasure doing business with him. I love the truck and it will be greatly taken care of! I drove all the way from Pittsburgh, PA in my 85 M1009 down to Oklahoma...
I'm not trying to promote this company at all. I just want to make that clear. I'm going to this place for all my fluids and grease because I am slowly growing my military truck collection. It's cheaper for me to buy in bulk and just keep it in storage for unexpected times...
Hello everyone, I'm trying to get as much help and assistance from everyone that I can for this event. What I am trying to do is setup an event somewhere in the month of June for veterans and for people in my community. Gonna try to have food, games, and for as many people to bring as many...
I'm gonna be very careful till I order my pyro gauge this weekend. I apologize not checking out your link to the thread Ray, but I just did and it was very helpful getting some facts straight that I didn't know.
Okay so here it goes, the rain today kept me from making any progress, but I tried something that a Vietnam mechanic told me at a car show this past Friday, two days before my stalling issue. He told me about the quarter trick on the IP. So I though what the heck I'll try it I got nothing to...
I know I should have mentioned this way earlier in the thread so please don't bash me because I forgot, would running clean used motor oil have anything to do with my problem? Maybe the HH is acting like it's starving for fuel because the oil is to thick to run through it? Just still trying to...
That is such a great idea! I actually have an old mech gauge laying on one of my shelfs somewhere and I know it works. I'll have to plumb that in to the filter housing, because your right, that is the last thing I need to happened is fry a HH. It will give me a piece of mind when driving long...
I did see that in the tm plus I found the specs on what the pressures should be, correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I found:
Delivery valve opening pressure . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .250-400 psi
O v e r f l o w p r e s s u r e . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5 psi...
That's something else I will do today, I'm gonna check all my fittings to see if any are loose. Plus check all my rubber hoses near the engine, one thing i haven't scrutinized yet. At least I know everything on the fuel tank and fuel pump are tight, so no worries there, but as far as the oil...
Definelty will do a pressure test too, good thing I just bought a new snap on tester. Do you mean is the truck building oil pressure? Because it is when I go to start it it's at 30psi, and when it's at idle it's at 45-55psi, and that has a brand new gauge and sending unit also. They didn't work...
Okay, compression test isn't a bad idea since I'm right there, still would like to check the valves just for p.m. As far as the injectors, I'm gonna have to look at the tm to test them because I don't have a clue to know if there bad, but just for the sake of asking, is it a day job on...
Forgot the second part of your question, yes it only stalled when it's was hot like climbing a small hill on the highway then turning off the exit ramp to the stop light it stalled when I drifted in neutral to the light.
