Mine is broken the wire with no capister and the wire with the small capister are not connected. Should i put it back in and leave it alone, Or does it need to be replaced?
I have a 86 m1009. On the fire wall passager side there is a capister running form the third positve terminal to the frist negitive terminal. It consist of three wires One wire goes straight through, THe second wire has a larger orange capister and the thrid has a smaller orange capister...
ok i have a 86 m1009. went to start it yesterday and nothing. tryed it again and burnt the fuseable link on the 24v (pass) side. it the wire on the forth terminal. i think this is the wire that goes to the starter relay.
Also after this happened the gen 2 light on the dash is no longer...
I have a 86 m1009. I just changed the fuel filter housing. What is the round white part with a thin foam layer on it. It has two wires coming out of it and is almost flush with the housing. It is some kind of sensor? Mine Is broke and not sure of the parts name or function.
Im using the recammended size by Katz and my buddies use the same ones with no problems. My overflow tank is always empty but radiator is always full. Actually im fighting with the truck right now with starting problems, and a air leak is a very good possiblity
Ok i have a m1009. When i got it about two years ago i put a freeze plug block heater in it KATZ, It worked for about a year and burnt out? Put a new one in and it only lasted for about 3 months. it would just pop the braker to the outlet. so i figured i wasnt installing them right...

How do u when the injector pump is working properly? U crank a injector to check the pump right?

Just converted th e plugs in order to bypass the resistor, how ever the plugs are 24volt plugs. Also i had the same starting problem before the conversion of the glow plugs. im in the midwest and today it was about 30 degrees and would not start. It seems to start a little better with the...
The glow plugs are converted to 12volt, and voltage is good. pedal is all the way down.
How can u tell if the injectors are bad? and do u check the compession like a gasoline engine? what sould the compression be?
