In my quest to save all the cucv and 73-87 Chevy parts I can, I stumbled upon some H1 parts. The guy had a front and rear center section, transfer case, calipers, and a radiator I think. Maybe some CV shafts.
Are the parts ever needed as replacement parts? I hate to see them scrapped. What...
I am looking to scratch the itch for a Willys jeep that I have had for years. I first thought a CJ-2A was about the only option b/c that is all I had ever known. My research led me to the CJ-3A option and then to the M38 that I think is the one.
1. Is there enough diffenence to matter?
2...
I have CUCV parts for sale but for some reason b/t the time I registered on the site until not so long ago there was a minimum post count requirement added, therefore leaving me unable to help the MV community any longer.
Does anyone know why?
There is an obvious solution: Post a bunch of...
Jack it up and check the operation of the rear tires. Slowly spin them in the same direction, grab one and jerk it in the opposite direction, the locker should disengage and "click" as the other tire spins.

14 bolt, 4.10's, disk brakes, detroit locker

Cut the 90* bend off at the frame( the one that points toward the rear axle) and slip a new rubber hose and clamp on it at the frame. This will eliminate that S shaped hose that has no reason to be that shape and replace it with a common part that has one 90* bend in it(or less). I just did...
My '84 1008 does have a 461 CID Big Block Chevy.
The lift is going on the '86 1028. All bolt on with no sheetmetal trimming, just in case I ever want to bring it back to stock. It is one of the straightest CUCV's I have ever seen. I guess it being an Air Force truck, it lived an easy life.
Well I guess all the thinking and looking is over. Its gonna be 8" suspension and 385 XML's on 16x10's. Going for a stock 1028 with some attitude look.
