    M-1008 Wait Light

That won't work. One truck is an 85 and the other is an 86. Plugs are different on the temp sensors. I'll get a new one.

    M-1008 Wait Light

Tested all the gp's with Fluke meter. Getting .08 & .09 on all of them. May be the temp sensor. I'll take the one off the other truck and we'll see if that helps. The help ya'll gave me saved me the price of a new set of gp's. I appreciate it.

    M-1008 Wait Light

The truck starts every time. If it's 40 degrees I do have to cycle it about three times. I'm in central Louisiana and we haven't had much cool weather so far. M-1008 Wait Light

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have really learned a lot since being a member here. These old diesels take a little getting used to. I'm sure I'll be needing more advice as time goes on. I have two of these 1008's. Lots of helpful members here.

    M-1008 Wait Light

Thanks Gottaluvit. I will replace the gp's. A new set isn't going to hurt anything for sure, these don't exactly look new.

    M-1008 Wait Light

I appreciate the advice. I replaced the card with one from another truck and got the same results. I think I will replace all eight glow plugs and if that doesn't work, I'll put in a momentary switch. Thanks again.

    M-1008 Wait Light

Wait light stays on for about three seconds. Truck starts immediately in warm weather. In colder weather, it will start but it takes a few tries. Seems like the glow plugs aren't heating long enough. Turning the key off and on seems to help. Do I need new glow plugs? Any help is greatly appreciated.
