Gospel. Done properly, you can get the Historical registration with GVW of zero. IIRC they had to enter five zeroes for the computer to accept the rating. Go fully loaded with copies of all applicable points.
You don't need much of an antenna when 6m is open; but more than an HT. Follow the grey-line from sunset until about 11 at night; starts more eastward and then swings North into Canada. The 4th of July is historically a good night for sporadic-E on 6m
Relining hand brake
Heard a strange ringing sound from under the truck. Like an old-school alarm clock. Found one hand brake shoe with less than half a lining left, both springs gone. Ordered new linings and springs from Erik’s and got the rivets and tooling from Hanson Rivet. Made holders...
Been a while since Silver Creek's been navigable. I can understand why they dumped them: couldn't make it another 2 miles to the Colorado with all those holes in 'em
Siver Creek Road
While back we had an all agency sponsored clean-up event of a popular offroad and shooting area along the road from Bullhead to Oatman. For some odd reason, people think they can just dump stuff. Between myself and another local with a 5-ton, we collected over a hundred old...
Other than the adjuster(looks pretty easy), can you list off the parts you replaced and/or modified once your happy with the install? I was hoping the 200 would fit, the 100's are rarely popping up anymore.

Thank you both for that reassurance.
"Since it doesn't leak I hope I'm good to go" almost made it in the OP. I was just wondering if there was any difference really.
While changing the oil filters in my deuce, I noticed that the washers had not been included in the kit. No big deal. Upon removal, the previous filters were installed with copper crush washers. Being in a bind, I fabbed a couple up from some solid copper washers I had on hand. Later...
Here's a pic showing I had a problem. It was an extremely slow leak from the coupling hose right behind the filters. At first I thought that the clamp had just worked loose. Tightened it and idled for 30 minutes but the seepage returned. Was able to replace the couplers at both ends only...
I dropped into the 20s here last week and I was running around looking for anti-gel. Fortunately I was ridiculed enough by friends telling me not to worry if it's only 20 degrees. BTW, locals tell me it hasn't snowed in Needles since 1949
Oil cooler line hose leak
Found green antifreeze dripping from around the rearmost oil filter housing and onto IP. The oil cooler tube hose behind the canister is cloth covered and likely original. So that gets replaced tomorrow! Will take pics
I know this is an older thread but it seemed the appropriate place to put this. The cap on my 71 M35a2 is 1-1/4" x 18tpi
It is the same size as:
1937-1959 Chevy GMC pickup metal (careful, some years use 1-5/8 ) ~$8-9
also possibly 1939-48 Ford passenger and some truck caps
Also if the...
I've had the bobbed deuce for about a month and a half. Been reading madly to get familiar with the systems again, haven't driven one since the Army in early 80's.
Checked front axle last weekend and found eggnog colored oil. Already had replacement boots and seals so looked forward to...
Just picked up a bobbed deuce from a co-worker and was out tooling around and spotted some seepage on top of the tank. Reckon the bumps in the road and some sharp turns allowed the fuel to splash up around the filler cap. Gasket looks OK but is now too thin for any kind of a seal.
It's a...
