    is there anywhere close you can rent or borrow a set of bore gauges and mics and double check the bore size. and how much end gap do the compression rings have? that will give you a clue as to were you are with the bore size and ring set size. Is 2" a standard bore for those? just a thought

    Well I dont Know for sure either way, Ive never had a head off of one these motors But if any of them go into coolant pages then that would be the ones you should use the sealer on. IMHO.

    What Oldfart said, and also dont discount the idea that the push rod jumped out sometime on cold start up if the valve was stuck open from sitting in that position. I would also have all the valves done when you pull the head for the gasket job and dont forget to have he head presure checked...

    source for pre bent brake lines ?

    I Made all of those lines up myself. along with all of the other sleel brake lines on the truck. It wasnt easy but I didnt have to remake any of them and the system is all working as it should now. But it would be nice if someone sold them all ready to go.

    I dont know for sure. Mostly because I havnt accually tried it myself, but What I was thinking is if I decide to use civilian dist. and carb I would look at the carter or rochester 2 bbl from the mid to late 60 used on the small blocks from GM and Mopar they both have similar size bolt patterns...
