Thanks, guy for all the info it's just what I needed also but what about the seals? I have only one bad wheel seal but like you figure what the heck might as well get them all done while I'm at it. Thanks for any info you may have on the seals and part numbers?

Thank's I will get up under there and look when it warms up a bit today. I was recently changing out the right side exhaust manifold and gasket so it's possible I may have loosened something I should not have. That's a tight space.
that' the nut thing you were talking about under the cover i bet...
i have not looked at the teeth, but this hmmwv has never given me one minutes problem, till about the time i changed the batteries and right before the old batteries went out.
it is not always throwing the gear out to engage...
when i try and start it will do one of two things
1.) it will not engage at all and just spin
or
2.) it will engage immediately for a brief moment - and then disengage and continue spinning if it doesn't start in that brief initial moment.
would any competent starter alternator shop be...
When cold my starter spins sometimes without engaging, it just freewheels. After about 3 or so attempts it will engage and start. After it's warmed up it doesn't do it at all.
This seemed to start about the time I put new batteries in it, don't know if that had anything to do with it.
Does...
Hum1 actually was a troop carrier with the bench seats and two door etc. When I got it it had the twelve lug wheels mounted cause the guy I got it from said it was cheaper and easier just to put rims with mounted tires on it rather than change out the old wrangler tires that had dry rotted. I...
Here is the other one for now I just call it Hum2 the other one is Hum1 lol
thanks - we go machine gun shooting in these down by a river close to here.
So found the following info looks like they want to sell it by the gallon or more. I just need some touch up paint for very small areas. I don't want to shoot my whole HMMWV unless I just have to. What colors on here make up the USMC? Mark...
I was a car dealer in Florida myself a few years back and "dealers" not "title companies" can get anything done. They build relationships and that is how business is done, when the guy I contacted told me how he would get a title. I was completely following what he was saying and know it can...
Went by SW store here today and they say this paint is Epoxy two part is that right? They were not an automotive store but said they could order it. Does anyone know what the color codes are for a USMC HMMWV or can point me to that? I have a couple of spots to touch up where they ground off...
There is a guy who will take just a bill of sale and nothing else - with that he gets a florida title in his company name - which he then assigns to you - you then take that to your dmv whatever state and title it - and register it - if you can - meaning some states will require no inspection...
The caveat of the bonded title is that in Texas the most the state says it's worth is 4000 so if you get a bond for 4000 and you sell it for 25000 the bonded title will only insure the new owner for 4000 and that's it. So how would you estimate the value in advance to cover the protection...
i refuse to do the bonded title - i will pay a guy for a florida title assigned to me and go that route. the bonded title is an enigma for 3 years and if it is for any less than what you sell it for then your screwed. i just wish there were some other way but i will do what i have to. mark
here is the complicated trail
1.) paper 97 to defense contractor
2.) paper contractor to auction
3.) paper auction to buyer 1
4.) paper buyer 1 to buyer 2 (me)
this is the trail i have ... going back down there monday to the dmv and try it again. mark
