Yes, I agree with you on the choking part. 5/8 garden hose lacks the volume of water and too much water pressure shuts the burner down. (that was why I was having trouble getting the burner to fire up in the first place. When I turned the pressure in the hose down the burner fired up, then...
I will see if I can find specs on the hoses and wands. The hoses are huge and overkill if you ask me...but what do I know? I just blew mine up! The cam lock connectors could be tough to match up. Might be better to purchase a matching male and female fitting and swap out the ones on your units...
I am going to try and repair it. It's pretty thick copper tubing. Lucky for me it blew the hole about 5 feet from the outlet port. My plan is to cut one of rings out of the coil and braze the 2 ends together, trying to keep the outlet in the same spot. We'll see...
Ok...so to continue the soap opera of my M17....DON'T DO THIS....(unless you want your neighbors to come by asking what was that explosion I heard?)
If you have read my other posts you will know as of yesterday my M17 was running but not heating the water. I did some digging in the Technical...
Im working on reading that "war and peace" novel right now. Was hoping someone out there had a "move that do-hickey thing-a-ma-jobber over there and it will work" response. The unit has only 2.5 hours of use. Hopefully its something really easy. I would think it would be a bit more reliable...

Problem is I'm not getting any fuel to the burner. I have fuel...
Did you find your technical manual CD? My decon unit came with the tech manual/user manual. I found it today while checking the unit out. I found it in the storage area below where the main fuel can sits. The older units that you had to pre-mix the 2 stroke oil for were unleaded fuel for the...
Hello again. I have a few more questions about the decon unit I just bought. This unit is the "heavy fuel" unit which according to the operators manual runs on either JP-5 or JP-8 fuel for both the pump engine (along with 2 stroke oil) and the heater.
I have seen the question on the...
Hello all. I'm hoping someone out there can help me locate a TM for a decon unit. NSN: 4230-01-492-1540. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Just found more info on it. Its a M17 MCHF, or a M17 LDS
