Well some fittings showed up today and IU was able to plumb the skid steer right up to the valve block itself. Got the electronics box mounted as well and was able to test out the remote. Have to read the the schematics a bit more but pretty sure I'll have to swap every A&B port line around as...
Well I got the valve block and electrical box mounted, ordered a bunch of hydraulic fittings and have figured up a oil tank and tool box for it. Put it out in the shed for a couple days now while I catch up on some other work for a bit and wait for parts to come in. Looks like I can use the...
Log forwarder. Have to get a rotator yet and build a grapple. Trailer will have 2 pairs of log stakes and once they are pulled out plan is to have a flat deck that pins into the 4 stake pockets as well. Should then work well for lifting super sacks of soybeans etc
Yes I have to build outriggers, it would of tipped the trailer over if I didn't have the skid steer holding it down. The buffalo had enough counterwieght it wasn't an issue.
Supposed to lift 1k lbs at full reach and like 4k lbs in close. max reach of 25'
Well got my fassi crane picked up from Chambersburg and started building a log forwarder/flat deck trailer for it. Got it bolted on today to test fit and needed to fold it up properly so I could access the rest of the bolts so had to play a little.
All in all I think the crane was brand new...
Yeah just found that out after calling the Mechanicsburg number.
My folks are taking the dually camping up north starting tomorrow till the 9th. So hopefully the 15 will work as I think that's the end of my 10 day limit, figuring the holiday in there.
Well my EUC just cleared, was sent in on 7/24 so not too bad for first time. Now I just have to figure out when I can get there.
Is the 367-1300 number correct for the site person? I didn't see an email anywhere for it, do they answer texts at all?
I'm not sure what I'm going to do, Still waiting on EUC to clear, and folks are going camping for 2 weeks starting Sept 1 which leaves me with no truck to pull the gooseneck trailer with. I can just see the EUC clearing the day they leave and supposed to be picked up within 2 weeks.. Oh well...
Ok, new to the site and found this thread. Question; say I buy a 6x6 MTV and mostly want to use it on my farm, may want to put a dump box on, or who knows what else. Can I register it as a Farm truck? And would the then same rules apply that I would not need a CDL if within 150 air miles (IIRC)...
Crane should be like 4k lbs max, and a touch over 1k lbs at 21' reach. Should be just perfect for a 8' long bunk log trailer. I'll have to build outriggers for it and a grapple to hook on, but thats not a big deal for me. Should also work well for things like setting trusses etc.
I won a Fassi F45 knuckle boom crane. Now just have to get this EUC stuff figured out. Plan on making a logging trailer and could use the crane with a grapple there and can always use a little crane around the farm.
