    HMMWV on Grease

    I am confused, I thought it was the residual methanol in manufactured biodiesel that attacked the rubber and the glycerin acts as a lubricant in the pumps/injector system. Did you run ANY manufactured biodiesel? Did you have problems with your fuel lines? I am planning a conversion in the future.

    Paint for Hawaii CUCV

    Just found a "recipe" for Rustoleum Olive Drab on a Jeep forum. Might try that out for the base. 1qt Hunter green, 1qt red primer. Maybe if we do a heavy semi-gloss clear coat it won't go all white powdery in a year like the flat does.

    Latex hasn't given me the best results on anything metal on my house here. Coated decking screws even bubbling rust through the paint in 2 years. Only thing surviving is the Simpson ties we pre-painted with Rustoleum then latex over top just to match.

    Aloha All, We just got our hands on a pretty nice M1009 shipped here from Calif. a couple years ago. Would like to start the restor/refurbish process and looking for advice on Paint for Hawaii. I know, boo hoo, poor thing, lives in Hawaii, but seriously, the sun & salt here dissolves...
