Tires and wheels sold
After struggling with their removal I was able to remove both rear wheels. Soaked them in Liquid Wrench penetrator, waited till next day then used large pry bar to break them loose. Worked out well sold tires and wheels after a cleanup, paint they were fine.
4 ton bottle jack
Tried that but frame was to far off alignment to wheels. Had two 2x4’s taped together the placed 4 Ton bottle jack with a piece of angle iron towards wheel, but angle was all wrong !
Finally broke them free! I sprayed liquid wrench penetrating fluid through lug holes each one several times, then got under T3 and sprayed the wheel between brake drum and wheel literally soaked each. After waiting couple hours used hand propane torch to heat wheel at lug area while turning...
Could use some ideas here. The rear wheels on M1009 are stuck on axle. Tried to remove them after lug nuts and they won’t budge! Soaked them in Blaster couple times yet still not budging. I do know the area I bought it from uses a lot of salt on roads as by the surface rust on entire...
Yes all need replaced
I am even after soaking in cleaner can’t be sure it’s all out, besides surprisingly new shoes are not that expensive and well worth the money and being assured won’t fail.

Drums
Removed brakes , wheel cylinders, all parts need replaced except driver side shoes , while covered in grease seems no ware showing, passenger side front shoe worn bad, rear bout half !

Yes position of rear on jack stands tried to rotate it but fell off stands still I’ll get it in position to take apart. Going to clean parts in a tub. Then check shoes to see if usable if not I’ll get new ones .
Got most the crap out. Had to be half a tub of grease in it. Doing a tear down anyway, checked drum it’s good replacing seals probably bearings. Getting a small parts kit for brakes maybe even new shoes grease in everything. Other side looks good but will take apart to check it out.

Pulled hubs and drums one side a greasy mess other not as bad but
only one lock nut with key way and retainer, same on both sides!

Finally after couple surgeries and rehab, not to mention Chiropractic appts a surprise from VA, pulled 14 bolt ff from rolling frame. Wouldn’t roll until pulled one axle out, so removed cover and drained crap that was in it. I was told it may have been welded. But to my surprise has a Eaton...
