I'm an idiot. I just looked on the VPW website again, and they show using the same lines for the axle to wheel as the chassis to axle. I just did not read it properly (partly because I was looking for banjo fittings on the ends).
Sorry for the false alarm.
Thanks for the reply.
They don't have them listed, or I could not find them on the Vintage Power Wagon website. I did send them an email asking if they are available.
Thanks again.
I just purchased a 1951 M37 that runs great, though does not stop. Put in a new master cylinder, and found out the three front soft line hoses are clogged up.
Looked through the forum and several of the online companies, and cannot find the lines that go from the axle to the front wheels...
Great tip. I had a non-working power steering, but working power brakes. Switched the lines to the above, bleed the system and now have perfect power steering. Thanks.
I finally figured out the wiring. Hopefully no one will have this problem, but I wanted to get the thread complete, just in case they do.
The five wires coming from that bundle are:
Wire 1 - 290/291/537/537B/537C - This wire connects to the positive battery terminal, providing 12V
Wire 2 -...
I received a box from Gov Planet today, containing a replacement TCM, and the breaker/relay wiring box with the wiring that comes out of it (pic attached). Since there are five wires in the bundle from the breaker/relay, and the bundle in the trans tunnel only has four, I am assuming one of the...
I'll dig deeper next time I am up there (the HMMWV is not at my home). Nothing is connected to the battery yet. Are you saying the power wire that goes to the breaker (290/291/537) is supposed to attach to the positive terminal of the rear battery? It currently is laying across the top of it...
I thought I took a picture of that, but I can't find it. There were only four wires in that bundle - those are the four I referred to as being in the transmission tunnel at the beginning of this thread.
Thank you for the reference. I have the TM, but when, for example, FO4 shows 29T connecting with all those 27's, where is that connection? Is it in the battery box, long wire that goes under the dash somewhere, in the trans tunnel? I just have the end that sticks out of the relay.
Thanks.
I sent the Iron Clad Assurance Dispute Form in this morning, and very quickly got a reply back saying they will try to find me a replacement harness and TCM! If that does not fix the problem they will talk about other repairs/dollars. I'm thrilled and will keep this post updated with the...
I need information on which wiring harness, or section of a harness, is required to connect the transmission breaker and relay to the rest of the vehicle, pictures of how it all attached would be very much appreciated, and if anyone has had luck with the Iron Clad Assurance on...
