Those O-rings from napa are the standard o-ring on another of NAPA's filters. I don't know which one but they can look it up on their computers. When I went to get mine they didn't have them in stock so they pulled them off the other filter and gave them to me that way.
I have my big Ford F-450 dually insured with Allstate just like my Audi A4, its only $20 a year more or so. The difference is that my F-450 GVWR is 16,000lb and GCWR is 35,000lb but the GVW or actual unladen weight is less than 10k, full of fuel (110 gallons) it weighs 9,600lbs. That and the...
No, not when the EUC is sent to battle creek. You will get one when the EUC is approved though. Start waiting... I bought on 12/29, mine was approved on 1/30, someone else on here with the same purchase date was approved on 1/6.
My truck has an interesting speedometer, pics below. It also has the canvas boots on the shift levers, not that unusual but I like it. I also have a gun rack!
Dang! Ok, well just come whenever. I found some of your stuff that got left in the truck, I will be in OKC on Wednesday... I can drop it by then.
Well Warthog nailed it with the first guess on what the problem was, thanks a ton to everybody!
Nope, Most of that area is still linked up with good roads that lead to Kantishna then out the Park Rd. That area of the Park is definitely one of the most beautiful though!
Ok, I tracked down the leak, the picture is posted below. The leak is right at the tip of the arrow, tightening that nut doesn't stop it. What is that thing and when I take it off am I going to loose gallons of oil? There is also another leak on the same hose that is coming out the front of...
Thanks! That is what it looks like. The wires and cables at the top of the tranny are covered the thickest... some still have some drips coming off this morning. That is accessed from inside the cab by the shift lever right?
Thanks again for the help on the trip Warthog!
Ok, so I recently remembered that the gear oil in these trucks is mineral oil... that is definitely what is leaking. I will degrease the belly and test drive... Does anyone know a source for those seals? Im currently scouring the TM's for the...
Leak update on page 2... Still need some help!
Made the trip from Stillwater to Ft. Riley with Warthog (WH from here on) today. Got to the truck, my first one, and looked it over... everything looked promising. I changed the batteries out while WH filled the master cylinder which was only a...
reb87, got it.
Warthog, I scheduled at 10:30 but I'm now thinking that that might have been a little early. I forgot its a bit of a drive up there! I'm willing to leave as early as you want though.
Anyone need anything from Ft. Riley? Warthog and myself are heading up to pick-up my M109, we could pick-up or preview your stuff... Also, could someone from the area wiling to lend a hand if the going gets rough IM me a phone number? The plan for now is to drive off, but a place to store...
Thats an awesome read! It's cool to hear about how these trucks are actually put back to work. It was like a well written love story, I almost cryed at the end...
