There isn't much trouble, to be honest. there are lots of folks who have done all the dirty work for the import, the DOT paperwork, etc.
Those that are already here tend to be REALLY expensive, compared to finding on in the UK or Ireland and having a broker bring it in.

a couple of Rangers from this area stomped around the sandbox in the RSOV, the US Ranger's super-cool ride. Kind of a cross between a WMIK and a Pink Panther, but in Ranger Green.
111 is for the 300Tdi engine in the Snatch 2.
Mine is a Snatch 1.5 - Desertized, which has the 3.5l petrol V8, which has...."more" bhp. :-)
to be honest, I haven't driven it yet, as it's not legal here until after Jan 1 2017, but considering it weight about 8900lbs, i don't reckon it's going...
they're quite cool, but not very practical for ermm.....wetter climates. (like where i live).
Also, a good way to light a lot of $$$ on fire, esp in the US where parts for a Wolf LR are almost non-existent.
Aye, it's a Land Rover "Snatch". It's armoured but looks mostly standard.
It's a 1992 and now legal to import into the US.

I'm extremely chuffed to know that one of the beloved (ok, hated with fiery passion) Land Rover Snatch 1.5 vehicles is soon on it's way to The Compound outside of Seattle.
