TIER II Reset tag removed - MEP802A

Letterkenny may have gotten tired of purchasers attempting to contact the email and phone numbers listed on the tag. The paperwork was wrong on one of mine (several years ago) and I sent a couple emails to Letterkenny. I received no response, but I did not get a 'not a valid email address'...

    MEP-803A cranking cylinder pressure

I was convinced I had pressure in my 802 because the fluid in the manometer would disappear. I then decided to make an air chamber to help reduce the pressure swings in the oil sump out of a peanut butter jar. I've got ~2" vacuum.

    802 a fuel pump

An Airtex E1074 came on my machine. Summit sold them once upon a time....https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/atx-e1074/overview (it is a 24 volt pump). Note fitting on top of pump and electrical connector. Airtex E8135 is about as close as we can get...

    MEP-802A/803A S1 Master Switch Source - Electroswitch

The only thing I reused from the blue K&N switch was the diode. The Electroswitch drawing in my original post notes this. The 75902LV is a much better switch than the blue plastic versions.

    1997 Fermont 803a

I've been happy with my Amprobe meters, but I am not an electrician. I bought the AMP-220, AM-570, and AM-510 from this outfit: https://www.tequipment.net/ because they were the best price at the time of purchase. This was several years ago. I don't recall the prices being this high for the...

    701a hooking up to a 30amp camper

This may be helpful regarding color coding of your wiring: https://www.electricaltechnology.org/2020/07/electrical-wiring-color-codes-nec-iec.html Single Phase 240V AC: This is also known as two phase or split phase AC supply but mostly called single phase supply. BLACK = Phase 1 , Hot 1...

    701a hooking up to a 30amp camper

I power my 120V 30 amp camper with an 802: WAY too much power so I need to have a couple extra heaters working. I did not rewire ANYthing in my control box. I simply used my Output Selection switch and dialed in 120V single Phase. I have the Neutral and Ground bonded with a driven ground rod...

    701a hooking up to a 30amp camper

The TM for the M E P - 0 1 6 B indicates you have an Output Selection switch that allows you to select 120V 1 Phase output. I don't own one so have no idea of the differences in your 701A. TM has a wiring diagram that may help...

    Need some help 803a

You might want to check your wiring connections, too. It might be something as simple as a grounding or corrosion problem. I searched on 'fuel gauge pegs full' and got several hits. This one is interesting: What would cause a fuel gauge to peg way past full? Re: What would cause a fuel gauge...

240 ohms empty and 33.5 full matches the document I attached, so your fuel sender looks good.

    MEP-803a 60 amp connection?

I used a 70 amp breaker. The 803 is rated to 52 amps. Searching the wise old internet led me to a rule of thumb to size the breaker for 125% of maximum amperage. 125% of 52 amps = 65 amps. I suspect the day I bought the breaker Lowes or Home Depot were out of 65s and I went with a 70amp...

Acquired a Military surplus load bank

My Kenmore 'load bank' cost me $50, the 2 dollies $20/each, the electrical connector around $30.....$120. A few months later I found a second stove on the side of the street and dragged it home. I move this one around with a hand truck. It needed a couple burners replaced so cost was around...

Did you try tapping a 1/4" pin punch downward on the left filter hole to unscrew the filter top?

MEP-803a Seems to be loosing power

I saw 71.4 amps at one point and a lot of 62.2 amp meter checks. This is a 52 amp machine in 120/240 volt. 52amps x 240 volts = 12480 watts......12.5Kw. It appears to me that you are overloading your machine. When I first bought my 803 I ran it hard to clean it out.....and it really didn't...
