I don't know what the number produced was, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 20 or 30. After GM got the tooling to build the truck in place, churning out an extra 10 or 20 wouldn't be that big of a deal.
They would also have needed enough vehicles for the military to run through trials...

The payload according to the data plate is actually 2500lbs. The max towed pintle load is 3000lbs. I must have gotten those two specs mixed up.
The truck is federal property and acquired by my fire dept through the federal excess property...

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll bring the info to our next meeting. We have a couple guys who have been under the truck looking for that reverse connection for probably over an hour now. I think they're going to be pissed to hear that it doesn't exist.
