there are several threads on people successfully using Behr on their vehicles. i also have had great success with it on an army trailer. after it cures it is tough stuff.
has anyone here done that with firearms? real firearms or non-firing recreations.
many people paint their real firearms...
Thanks for sharing all of the great ideas.
Here is what I came up with.
I found some nice d-rings on etrailer that were not too big and not too small:

I found attachment hardware at Lowes.
Total cost was about $4.25 per attachment...
thank you for sharing the ongoing story of your camper build.
thanks for sharing the pics of your wonderful family.
please keep those pics and details coming!
check out the 'Behr Paint Jobs - show me your MVs...' thread which has many examples of roll jobs. page 68, post 675 and 676 are mine. I painted my m101a2 trailer with Behr Marquee and a roller. even though it was 'rolled', it came out looking like it was 'sprayed' by a pro.
do not paint in...
hi.
I have a m101a2 trailer that I am looking to configure to haul cargo (on occasion).
I am looking for ideas, from people with experience, for the best 'tie down point locations', and hardware, for 'general' cargo control. pics would be great.
I have been looking (and searching forums) for...
hi.
I have 2 m101a2s that I got this year. Both came tan (pic shown), and have tan tarps that were like new (I got lucky).
I painted one of them tan again using Behr (based on the excellent advice about Behr on this forum), and with the tan cover that it came with it is good to go.
The...
thanks for all of the replies!
as the OP here is what I am thinking after reading all of the replies (for anyone who falls over this thread in the future):
1. being able to swing open the 'side swinging rear door' on the FJ Cruiser is important to me; a higher pintle plate will not allow the...
hi.
Question about how level a m101a2 trailer needs to be - realistically.
From what I have read, general rules of thumb are that any trailer should be level, or near level, and it is better nose down than nose up. But looking at people towing all types of trailers on the road, that is not...
use whatever you like. it is America where we have freedom of paint choices
behr is not actually 'house paint' - as people think of house paint from decades ago. the new high end behr paints are designed for use on multiple surfaces - including metal.
consider posting pics once it...
I do rolling with excellent results. Use a high quality name brand roller with a short nap. I use 'Purdy White dove' 3/8".
as far as CARC vs something like Behr, depending upon what you intend to do with the MV, don't rule out Behr.
whatever you decided to use, or who you apply it, good...
sounds interesting.
would you have any pics of that mod so we can see what the chains look like without the tailgate level (down all the way as normal), and then with the tailgate level (with your chain mod).
if yes, thanks!
I painted some more of my m101a2 today with the behr marquee - this weekend I did the underside. still loving the paint. easy to apply; self levels nicely; good coverage with a single coat. nice thing with a good brush and good roller (not the time to go cheap) is that you can do sections at...
that trailer looks to be in very nice condition.
whoever bought it for that price, and for whatever reason, I wish them well and hope they enjoy it.
I think I remember reading somewhere on the internet that there WAS a magical ingredient used in behr marquee exterior flat (the paint I used) and the ultra plus. Odd, I cannot seem to find that original link right now....

look here for details on behr:

looks like they say the top ones used here at SS (Marqueee and Premium Plus Ultra) are acrylic. I used the Marquee and love it. posts 675 and 676 of this thread.
from what i have read, it is not just that...
