    MEP-804A/B fuel float switch replacement - non-existent??

That was the seller I mentioned but didn't think to look at who the manufacturer was in the listing! Good catch! I'll measure mine and do some digging this afternoon. Hopefully they have an off-the-shelf replacement and it wasn't a custom run. If I find match, I'll post it. Thanks for the...

Hello everyone, I have an MEP-804B I'm resurrecting which has a bad lower float switch indicating and preventing startup from a permanent 'no fuel' situation. Mine is a Madisson M3465, NSN 2910-01-376-2268. There are other manufacturers for this part but an exhaustive search of the internet...

    MEP-803a & M103a3 power plant trailer - Any owners / former owners / parts??

Hi Everyone, I currently have an M103a3 1.5ton power plant trailer with two MEP-003a's on it. I recently acquired a MEP-803a with low hours and replaced one of my MEP-003a's for the newer MEP-803a. When I lowered the generator down on the channel iron and got the first bolt lined up I...

MEP-016b / 701a - fuel draining back to tank overnight

Hi Guys... Thank you all for your input. I've run in to this before and as ETN550 mentioned, just replaced the mechanical pump with an electric pump capping off the original with brass plugs. fortunately this one ended up just being a poorly seated filter housing gasket but I know there will...

MEP-016b / 701a - fuel draining back to tank overnight

Well intitially that was what I was thinking, but then I thought, the system is open and air can always come in through the fuel return on the tank. My thinking was if the fuel pump had some internal failure, small enough not to cause running failures, the pressure of the fuel in the filter...

MEP-016b / 701a - fuel draining back to tank overnight

Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before. MEP-016b, fuel it up, new filters, etc.... Starts right up runs good. Shut it down and half a crank and it's running again. If I let it sit overnight, all the fuel in the filter housing has drained back to the fuel tank and starting it...

Just won another MEP... this time a 003AAS

Ok... just got home from my 670mile trek to pick up the genset. Upon arrival I noticed extensive damage to the sound reduction box affixed to the back of the squirl cage. The pictures represented a perfect enclosure. Apparently there is a claims process I now need to go through. I had time...

Just won another MEP... this time a 003AAS

Let me clarify... I did the fuel mod on my current 002a and it worked out flawlessly. If you plan on keeping the unit for yourself, spinon filters are the way to go. I am very happy with my results.

Just won another MEP... this time a 003AAS

I was so happy with my first MEP-002a I bid on and won a MEP-003AAS. I live in a small neighborhood where extended generator noise may become a problem. You guys weren't kidding... that 002a is L O U D. I'm heading to NJ tomorrow to pick up the 003AAS. I can't wait to see how much quieter...

Just won my first mep002a gen set from Govliquidation - Few Questions

What were the fields? Usually if you floated over the field with the cursor it told you the options and how to choose. Heading down together might be a plan. What do you drive? I plan to take my car and small trailer to save money on fuel. If you have something slighly larger it might be...

Just won my first mep002a gen set from Govliquidation - Few Questions

This idea was rolling around my head too. I haven't even gotten it yet but was a little dissapointed I lost the enclosed one I bid on hearing about how loud these are. My only concern would be how to properly vent it. Being an air cooled engine, I'm not sure I'd be willing to attempt it...

Just won my first mep002a gen set from Govliquidation - Few Questions

Thanks for all the great replies guys! From the sounds of it, the prices are all over the place. From the responses, I think mine was a little on the high side but still not nuts for what I got... assuming it works. I'm not travelling too far to get it; I live in NH and have to go PA to pick it...

Hi Guys, I just won my first government internet auction from govliquidation. I bid on and won a mep002a gen set.
