I just got my 1988 M998 titled and register, so I took it out for a drive. Came back and saw it was leaking from the driver side Axel boot. Is this something serious?
I'm assuming both of these can be used interchangeably, but just want to make sure before i make a purchase.
Also is there any benefit of one over the other?

So i ended up opening the 3 lever switch because i though i was going to have to replace it. Seems like its pretty clean inside, look newish too... is there an easy way to verify the switch works?
The wait light and the brake light work, but brake light stays on all the time.
Headlights, blinkers, horn, nothing else works. hmmwv turns on and runs fine. Is there a fuse box I need to check?

Finally got some time to swap out the fuel pump, followed all the advice given plus some other found on the forum.
Removing the right splash guard makes the swap easier.
Also had someone crank the engine while i pushed in the push rod to find the position where it was most out of the way...
I haven't tried bleeding the air out of the lines, Do you by any chance have the instructions?

but looks like those apply to when you have bubbles in the lines, looks like my lines are pretty much empty.
Used a bigger bottle this time, had the engine run for about 2-3 minutes, No fuel out of the fuel/water separator. Checked the fuel pump line coming from the fuel tank, maybe like 3 or 4 drops of fuel came out. So i guess my next step is to replace the fuel pump.

Ok, tried putting 10 gallons in the fuel tank, cranked for a couple minutes it still didnt start.
