That MEP 1040 is a real nice looking unit. I've only ever seen one and this is it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6JG1TDbTkc I don't think we'll see another one for a along time. I hope I'm wrong
I like an Interlock or a 3 way throw switch. I have an Interlock on my panel at home. At my business I have a Kohler 60 KW natural gas generator that's three years old. I've already had to replace the board in the transfer switch.
Right now I have a Honda EU7000 that I use for Home backup. Its a very good generator but it can't start my central A/C. I know what you mean about Resale. I had a Honda EU6500 before that. It kept us going after super storm Sandy for 10 days. I sold it and got a very good price for it and...
I might be able to get by with an 802a. It should start one of the 3.5 ton central a/c's. Right now we're also building a home in Cape Coral Florida that's going to be 100% electric. I plan on moving there full time in a few years. An 803a will be a good fit for that house. I also saw the MEP...
Agreed 100%. I put my max bid in and lost all three skid mounted 803a's. I felt the prices were too high for a generator sight unseen with tax, shipping, and fee's. It was a lot of fun to watch
Agreed. As much I want one I just can't justify the price right now. If I were living in Puerto Rico that would be a different story. Sooner or later I know the right one will come along
Has anyone won recently? This is my first time trying to win one. I put a bid in on 3 of them and got out bid already on two. There in Georgia. I got a shipping quote so I know what my max bid will be. They have very low hours. There in the 20 hour range and none have been reset. What do you...
How many hours is it safe to run an MEP 803a under a light load say 2700 watts? My house has two 3.5 central A/C's. I would't be worried about wet stacking if the power went out in the summer with the two A/C loads, but in the winter if I needed the generator the load would be very light around...
I was thinking about using the Ratchet tie down straps also to help easy it down the ramp. I'm just not sure about moving around 1300 pounds with a pallet jack.
