I just got some brand new Warn locking hubs for my m1008. Is there a way to dechrome and/or paint these? They stick out really bad against the Army green of my truck. Thanks
Just put in a new rebuild kit for my windshield wiper pump, new park switch solenoid, new tank, hoses, etc.. but it won't spray water. I can hear it click on but it's like water bypasses the piston and goes out the bottom?? Any ideas? I've blown everything out and made sure there is no...
Thanks again everyone!! I'm putting in a block heater and I want to permanently mount a 12 volt tinder so I can plug them in when needed. Not sure yet on how to do the 12 volt tinder on 2 batteries - but I have that question on another thread.
Run the ground lead to vehicle ground, run the 24v lead to the 24v terminal (the + terminal) of the rear battery, or, better yet, the 24v bus bar.
Will doing this also charge the front battery too or just the rear battery?

I've been reading on this forum about different conversions and I read about bypassing the resistor and pulling off the 12 volt busbar to the glow plug solenoid. Had my dad help me this morning and it appears that has been done. I will have my dad help me check the glow plugs to see if they're...
Hey guys - I just bought a 86 M1008 cucv. It has a glow plug manual momentary switch installed. How long should I hold it to heat the glow plugs and how long do I wait to push it again if I need to use it more than once? Thanks Maggie
I would like to hard wire a battery tinder to my M1008. I've read where I can use a 24 volt tinder or 2 12 volt tinders but can you use one 12 volt for both batteries? If so, how could I do this. I did try searching but really didn't find anything. Thank you.
