When the 3' comes out of the back end of the frame the original crossmember will be relocated at the end of the frame. I will be removing the one second up from the rear. Good idea... we can reposition that one between the front hangers and reutilize it. Thanks!
Justin,
Do you mean a crossmember (rail to rail) under the engine in the front? Or are you looking at the frame in the rear? The plan is to take 3' off the front of the box and to shorten the rear of the frame to end it in the original location in reference to the back of the box.

I am in the process of bobbing a M35A2. I have Freightliner truck air suspension under the rear. Without air I am 1" taller in the rear. By the time I air the bags I am going to be 5-6" low in the front. What is the best way to lift the front suspension? Looking for ideas. Perhaps drop the...
I have seen several individuals setup air-ride suspension on the rear of bobbed deuces by using a 4 link or Freightliner truck suspension parts. What about the front? Has anyone had success with bagging the front end?
I know that Volvo and also Freigtliner has used front bags between the main...

With the body off... it looked like a good resting place for a crewcab chevy pickup cab and stretched pickup box !!! Split the front box right behind the wheel well, the second one right in front of the wheel well. :-D
And here I was thinking it was a problem only I was having.... geez.
Bikini Top? I would like to see a pic of that! (maybe that was why the screwing took place to begin with???) I hate a full top... Just how small of a bikini are we talking about here?
Tnx
Wow... I now have a few different choices. It is a vinyl top... and it is in great shape. I have no idea why it came apart... other than I got it wet and let it set that way for a couple of weeks. It appears that it was never stitched... just glued. I like the idea of having it sewn...
I have a fairly new soft top on my deuce. I took it off for two weeks because I was in two different parades... and wanted it off. I had it in the back for a couple of days and it got wet when it rained. I sat it in the garage for about 12 days (if was still a little wet), then put it back on...
I have located a full set of used 11.00 x 20 military lugs to replace my 9.00 x 20's. I know I will need to swap out the speedo gear, but what else will I need? Will the flaps from the 9.00 x 20's work fine? And, what about tubes? Will I have to replace all 10 tubes :?:
Well... right now ours have a banner on the side that says, "OPERATION: COOKIE DROP - Buy Girl Scout Cookies to send to our troops". We take it to the locations where the Girls Scouts are having their cookie booths to promote the cookie share program. Our local GS council has teamed up with...
