Gas doesn't have the shelf life like it used to. Atleast in th esmall engines, but go to your local airport because they have pure gasloine with no ethanol that can ruin it over time. Those planes sit all the time and the gas will go bad and you cant trust that flying around in the sky. My shop...
If anyone knows of any m1008's for sale near MA, NH, ME pretty much New England. I am not ready to buy one yet, but probably by the summer time. Give me some feedback. Thanks Guys
I really enjoy this thread. I think either next I am getting a Willys pickup to go offroading in or a m1008. I originally wanted a m1008, but hey I got my wagon for free
i know they are. Thats what ruined the smaller diesel market for th US back in the day. I had one at the dealership I worked at and it was always broken down.
Should be easy I havent done one myself, but the 6.2 were considered the 350 diesel. Any problems I am sure that there are many people on here that will help you out.
I am glad to here that it is inside. You need to get some more pictures and post them up. I cant wait for that thing to be on the road. Probably before mine haha
I think you might have to replace the whole turbo to fix that problem. not sure but i know on the trucks i work on we always do. guaranteed those trucks arent a duece. but either replace or rebuild the turbo and get it fixed up right
Dont add tires and just check them for rot cause all the ones around me the floors and rockers go. I havent had a problem with the 6.2s for me. I would definatly drive one as a daily driver. When you find one you really like pick it up
id say what bigflew has said is correct i just finished up transmission class and the reluctor sun shell is used in reverse and only that so if everything else is fine that is probably broken.
the only thing i can see mixing in there is kerosene, but they already mix that in with th e diesel fuel in the winter time. the 6.2 is not meant to run on anything but diesel fuel ive seen someone put gas in it...bad idea haha
Yeah houses are being built around me and im getting complaints about driving my tractor around. Who cares if its getting dark out they make headlights on em for a reason you know. Never mind when im working on vehicles
yeah id just be careful of the spindle. and you arent keeping the bearing anymore so id use an air hammer to get it off. also dont spin the bearing too much cause you dont want the rollers to fly out or the cage can end up cutting your hand. that has happened to me once. not fun. but it can come...
