Would duallys on the front with a track wrapped around them solve the digging in on snow. Also weighting the very back should reduce front end weight. The truck of choice would be short. A semi or dump truck would be best I think. checking pricing on belt material. Waiting for estimates.
Thanks for all the replys. Do the military pu trucks generally have differential lockers in the front axle. Thinking of going back to original idea of putting tracks on a 3/4 or 1 ton and pulling a 3/4 scale drag.

I am a member of a local snowmobile trail grooming club. Is there any chance that a 5 ton or a deuce could pull a 3000 pound drag to groom snomo trails. If you have a few minutes to chat someday my #is 231-631-2263 Joe
Would a deuce and a half pull a snowmobile trail grooming drag? The drag weighs a few thousand pounds and has multiple blades to cut moguls and flatten the trial. Just wondering if deuces have enough traction as A 6x6 or if it would work better as a bobbed 4x4. Or are deuces not effective...
