Great write up. Looks like im going to be doing the same in the next week. Like you I have been doing a lot of reading. I found out trouble shooting I have no fuel getting to two of the injectors when I crack a line. Thought it was a bad injector now Im wondering if the HH is plugged
Question, for all the drivers of these big beautiful machines. I know the inner hub seal is just a dust seal, but has anyone found a better idea to keep water out of the bearings for deep water crossings. I was thinking there is Marine grade wheel bearing grease. A heavy truck Mechanic...
Anyone had any luck in shortening the steering wheel shaft. The darn thing sticks out from the dash a good foot and the Gunny isn't so lean anymore. Any suggestions on maybe cutting it down and having a machine shop re thread the end to fasten the wheel back on. Thought about just cutting...
Well someone must have updated my 1970 with a newer motor. The data plate on my Hecules is a LDT 465-1D Part number 12354301 So are the head gaskets the same or are they different. I know I have the older style with the tabs sticking out. This summer I am changing to the new gasket so if...

Has anyone had any luck utilizing a chemical remover. I have tried a couple different and it just not work. I really do not want to have to wet sand the entire truck. My 1970 M35A2 has a dozen coats of brushed paint.
New oil pressure gauge and temp gauge. Pulled the instrument panel out to replace them and now my Speedometer and Tac doesn't work right. Go figure try to make an improvement on this old "Bitch" and cause more problems than what I started with. Just the fact of working on a vehicle as old as...
