Glad to hear you got it to Maui👍
I just got back from 4 months out of state and today was my first day off quarantine.....
Out of curiosity, how much was it to rebuild the shafts? I need to do mine.......
Looking great!
We stayed at lost lake in the gorge about 3 weeks ago, loved it but ya, most of the fs roads were closed, if you want some gravel road fun head up to sunset falls in Washington, there's also road thru the middle of camp, beautiful drive for hours.
I'm not really familiar with the system but it just seems as if a relay board, like a ip i/o board could do it then a simple IFTTT program could handle it?
I saw the arduino thread and that seems interesting but with a i/o board it could be set up with Bluetooth, something like a megasquirt...
I agree that could be a option but the report says no water, i don't know if so little water could make it yellow milkshake but not be enough to show on the report?
I took my sample from the sample port above passenger tire, filled up a cup after warming up trans, then filled sample...
I just read your thread from 2016 that said the same thing.
Basically I fully agree with your description from the cooler.
My truck only has 2800 miles, it's probably the original fluid.
Also I notice you said it's viscosity isn't 15/40w oil...
In the notes the analysis say is 30w......
I...
OK, finally got my analysis back, excellent news, no water, no antifreeze, viscosity is in range and all looks fairly normal except copper and silver........
Not sure why it's milky, will change fluid 3 times, drive a while and test again....
Thank you for the reply.
In honesty if I buy the truck I'll try to pull the parts and install them at a much later date.... my time is very limited currently.
I've had lifted trucks, xj Cherokee that I swapped in a 4.6 stroker/ Ford np435/ Atlas transfer/d44 rear d30 front on 35's with only...
Right now I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it?
Just to remove it sounds like it's going to be a large investment....
ALMOST makes the 12k sherpa on a cradle that hooks to the shackles a better idea..........
If one were to buy a parts truck with a winch, about how long do you suppose a couple guys that are pretty handy with wrenches pull out all the necessary parts?
Matson says 21', I can get it there by removing the bed, 8'wide, hoping I'm close enough, but 7.5 feet tall, there's the kicker, it would save me about $3k if I had a cargo drop lmtv......
Now another company I'm talking to doesn't normally do vehicles but, if I can remove some weight...
morning everyone, on the truck I bought the trans oil is milky yellow. I know it's contaminated but I'm praying it's just from something else then the heat exchanger.....
My 1998 lmtv only has 2800 miles on the odometer, nothing indicates that is incorrect, the wear on everything seems...
Yeah, I only had 1 caged rear brake so I chanced the 30 mile drive, 35 mph with few stops, worked out for me but it was a gamble with high stakes.......
In my 1998 I noticed the passenger door handle is upside down, but I'm missing the latches so I never looked at the holes drilled to mount them, I'll look this afternoon.
