Those tubes are for smoke grenades. If you get in trouble, you can hit a button and set them off and give you a smoke screen to get out of Dodge......I also saw some a month ago on a British Centurion main battle tank. It may be just a British thing, but I don't know.....

I think the armor forum needs to be between Present day and Non US at least. You got us below restoration, poll place, classifieds, and ebay items . I'd hate to see somebody scrolling down through all of the other vehicles, get in to that other stuff and loose interest and leave. I now armor...
