The power steering could be done prior to the steering gear by cutting the shaft and installing a charlynn style in shaft hand pump they work quite well, I put one on one of my old two ton IH trucks and it works well, the disadvantage is losing your horn wire I will try and post pictures sometime

I have a good timken steer axle and both rear axles, I am putting the GM axles under mine as the suspension and trunions are busted beyond repair in the rear

Breather tube is clear, I had the valve covers off and replaced the gaskets, ran the overhead as well. I know silicone is bad, at this point I’m just trying to get the oil leaks stopped
