Best piece of advice in this thread after the "debate". Consider my bringing up of this as a formal warning to both parties to stop with the negativity and certainly stop looking for conflict on the site.
Had a leaking axle seal on the bobber. Got it pulled down and the old seal out tonight. I need to pick up some rags, lots of parts cleaner, and little stuff tomorrow. I've got a seal I'll rob from the kit I bought for the other axle.
Today I replaced the terrible threaded rods that were holding the rear axle in place on the bobber with real deal u bolts. Now I might actually go for a drive in it!
No, I never said that chrome was the issue. But given your harsh replies via email, I'm guessing you're not wanting to try to work through the issue. (It's 11:09pm on a sunday night, I'd much rather be in bed).

I finally washed the mud off the deuce from the 2011 GA SS rally. Topped off the oil as well. Took care of a leak. Reinstalled the rubber seal for the radiator cap. Took it for a drive and rode the brakes a bit to keep the engine loaded down.
