    wsucougarx's M923 acquisition

Mine has recessed letters, so was considering the sharpie idea. Too busy at work and no time to play. Have you done any oiling to your air system on the M923? It is an old trick on the M54 to add a touch of oil to the airline to lube the airpack. Was wondering about a touch of machine oil to...

It will be nice that you can read the words above the indicators. Am trying to figure out how I can highlight the words on the indicator and dash of the desert painted truck. The paint is rough enough that I can't paint and wipe them off. Have been working on the outside of the truck doing...

Mike, you are lucky man. Your wife seems to be much more benevolent on this stuff than mine. One thing nice about the smaller vehicles is you can tuck one in and no one notices and extra.

Were you able to drive it home or was it a tow? Neat truck, that is what I will be looking for next, I think. Just have to figure out where to park it. :) And I guess, which house I will live at after my wife gives me the boot.

Coug. Saw one of your cohort M925's headed southbound I-5 about 1200 today. Great looking truck. How did your truck rescue go?

It is funny about those sticks that we have gone from protecting ourselves against a tyrannical government to only needing 5 rounds to hunt with. Guess I need to make another trip to Brad's. Looks like I have a broken hood hinge. And it looks like the spring loaded keeper bolt on the exaust...

Mike, safety tip - watch the tailgates on the 5 tons. I tried mine on the shoulder today, unexpectedly! Arm is sore this evening and am wondering if it will move in the morning. Other than that, I installed one of the tailgate steps on the front bumper to be able to get to the hood a little...

Hopefully a little air and your problem will be solved. Do they have any air available there or do you have to take your own? I have been thinking it might be nice to have a truck the is 15 to 20 years newer than what I have, but I don't use it much and mine seems to be running okay.

Mike, PS you said something about the weight factor. I think they are both rated to carry about 20,000 pounds. Don't think you will have much trouble which ever one you want to put it on. :D

Glad I didn't bid you up on that one. Was looking hard at the 925's, but I don't need another truck really either. Keep us posted if you need a bit of recovery help. I think that was the one with the two low rear tires. Hope they just need air. P

Watch the sparks! I was cutting some rebar one day and started sniffing, thinking, smells like something is on fire. So I am looking around and finally look down and I am the one on fire. That is what happens when you wear new jeans to work. The steel and concrete blades are available...

Neat cutoff saw. That was a good price. I personally like the Stihl version better, but that is a heck of a tool to have in your arsenal. Did you get extra blades? They make blades for metal cutting and concrete, plus you could buy a diamond tipped concrete blade as well. And if you had a...

Do you have your bid in on that Hemmett? Was the Robo tool a CL find. That is a great looking set and now you have given me something else to look for. Have you tried it on a lug nut yet?

Way to go Mike! I found a tough shape hard top. Bought it off the guys scrap pile to get the weather stripping that goes over the passenger side window. have that part off, cleaned up and painted, picked up some stainless steel bolts for the reinstall, and hope to get it on tomorrow...

Nice stuff. You are definitely going to different places than I go. I rarely find vehicle stuff, maybe because you got it all already.:-D Keep on hunting. I did pick up a pretty nice Large wall tent of CL today have been looking for one for quite awhile.

Mike, you hit better garage sales than me this weekend, but I did get a 1941 dated set of Russian binoculars with case yesterday at one. I did pick up one of those tow cables awhile back, only to find out that they would not fit over pintle hitch on the M54. Now I think I need one of the hitch...

If you want to build an A frame, go ahead. But if you have a long plank or two, make a ramp, afix a come along to the front of the bed, and winch that sucker up into the back. Or take one of your winch equiped trucks, put a snatch block in the other truck, and hit the winch, it will slide up...
